Account director

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate 2–3 teams consisting of Account Managers, Media Relations Specialists, and Account Executives/Assistants

Actively contribute to the development and adjustment of integrated communication strategies for B2B & B2C clients

Validate the strategic directions and concepts proposed by the teams

Organize and oversee the implementation of communication strategies and campaigns

Correctly prioritize tasks and manage resources allocated to each account

Monitor delivery quality and adherence to deadlines

Resolve blockers, conflicts, and internal misalignments

Actively involved in proposals and pitches

Participate in strategy presentations and pitch meetings

Participate in contract renegotiations and budget adjustments

Manage and optimize campaign budgets

Actively contribute to the growth of existing accounts; identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities

Analyze campaigns and performance indicators

Manage sensitive situations, conflicts, escalations, and crises

Provide ongoing strategic consultancy to clients

Requirements

3–5 years of experience as an Account Manager in communication agencies, on B2B and consumer accounts, or 2–3 years in a similar Account Director role

Ability to manage multiple clients across different industries simultaneously

Previous hands-on experience in implementing integrated corporate and brand campaigns

Strong knowledge of media relations, influencer relations, CSR, internal communications, brand activations, as well as the ability to develop communication campaign concepts

Experience in issues and crisis management

Ability to understand the client’s business, industry, and market context

Calm and clarity under pressure

Ability to say “no” in a reasoned and diplomatic manner

Fluent English
